Construction Management is typically for larger projects where the Owner contracts with an Architect/Engineer for design services and with a Construction Manager (CM) for specified professional services. By terms of the two contracts, a non-adversary construction team is created, consisting of the Owner, the Architect, and the CM. The objective of this approach is to treat project planning, design, and construction as integrated tasks within a construction system. The team, by working together from project inception to project completion, strives to produce a project of maximum value to the owner within the most economic time frame. This means understanding the client’s personal and financial objectives and the technical aspects of the project, so you don’t waste time heading in the wrong direction.
